Our welding and assembly departments develop technical structures with a high level of precision. All welding is always carried out by certified welders.
SMO has also obtained EN1090 certification. We can execute work up to execution class 3.

SMO’s welding department specialises in technical welding and assembly work. Our experienced welders and mechanics are trained to produce one-off, small batches and complex structures in most types of steel including steel, aluminium, stainless steel, … We can fulfil higher tolerance requirements.

Typical welding jobs include portal machinery, suspended structures, complex platforms, large air ducts, water channels, piles, railway equipment, chassis, special silos, … We also have extensive experience working with corten steel in architecture, building special planters, plant beds and even entire buildings.
We also offer bespoke work for technical structures.

If necessary, we can draw your structure in Inventor or Tekla structures. We also use the most ideal production techniques for your application during the drawing process. We can also perform strength calculations.

In addition to this, SMO can also take care of transport and the installation of (large) structures.
Surface treatment is subcontracted to top-class contractors.
