Light tunnel

SMO has built and installed a completely new light tunnel for a car manufacturer. This lighting tunnel is used for checking the paintwork of the cars that come out of production. The total length of the tunnel is 72 meters.

Before starting construction, the pipe structure of the old line had to be demolished. Compressed air, electrical pipes, material containers and pipes from the central vacuum cleaner had to be removed or renewed and reassembled and tested.

Due to organizational reasons, the switchover could not be carried out during the production of the cars. As a result, everything had to be realized according to a very tight and well-coordinated timetable.
