Automatically open and empty PET bottles

Machine builder SMO has developed a machine that can automatically open and empty bottle packages. More specific, it concerns tetra and PET bottle packaging.

The re-opening of tetra and PET bottle packaging is particularly common in:

• Goods with an expired expiration date
• Damaged packaging (eg transport)
• A printing error on the package

The packaging of the bottle is clamped more tightly by means of different straps until it is completely pushed flat. The liquid is collected and drained in a gutter.
